TAPTAG is a companion system designed to help individuals recovering from concussions conquer their daily tasks, increase productivity, and promote feelings of accomplishment.

The Facts

  • Contact sports have a very high number of athletes concussed every year. Soccer has the highest concussion rate for woman, and football for men.

  • Almost half of concussed athletes do not report their symptoms, but the effects of concussions stay with them.

  • The amount of force blows to the head a football player experiences per season.

Concussion Effects

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Memory Loss

Positive feedback loops assist the injured in navigating their days with greater efficacy while also mitigating feelings of depression.

The TapTag system was developed to ease the challenges of the uncertain recovery process that accompanies concussions. It employs breathing exercises, games, and biometric feedback to gently guide the injured athlete back to their sport.

Application Support

In Action

Application support guides users throughout their day by reminding them to pause and take a breath at the beginning and end of each task. This breath work not only helps individuals recovering from concussions stay grounded, but also provides more oxygen to the brain and blood, which in turn facilitates easier navigation through their daily activities and a more speedy recovery.
